Spotify mit neuer Regelung für unauthorisierte Länder

Spotify hat sich anscheinend zu einer neuen Regelung betreffs Free-Accounts außerhalb Schweden, Norwegen, Finnland, Spanien, Frankreich und Großbritannien durchgerungen. Wer außerhalb dieser Länder Spotify nutzt, dürfte in Kürze folgende Mail erhalten:

Dear Spotify user,

We’re writing to you in regards to your Spotify account which up
until now you’ve been using free of charge. While we are really
happy that you are enthusiastically using Spotify, we are
unfortunately going to have to restrict access to your free
account.

Spotify is currently available in six countries: Sweden, Norway,
Finland, Spain, France and the UK. We never intended to allow
use of our service outside of those countries and we do not run
any adverts on your account like we do in the launch countries.
For this reason we have to restrict your account, you will be
able to log in to Spotify and view music and playlists but not
listen to any music.

We are sorry that we have to take this step. We do hope to
launch our free service in more countries in the future.

Es ist natürlich schade das ein genialer Dienst wie Spotify durch die engen Schranken der Musikindustrie derart ausgebremst wird. Trotzdem musste dieser Schritt wohl erfolgen um nicht den ganzen Service zu gefährden. Verträge sind nun mal Verträge und die Musikindustrie muss sich auf die vereinbarten lokalen Einschränkungen verlassen können.
Immerhin kann man nun unbeschwert in Spotify schnuppern. Soweit ich informiert bin wurden Accounts aus unauthorisierten Ländern bisher nach einer gewissen Zeit (für Urlaube o.ä.) bereits beim Login komplett abgewürgt.

Für Nutzer aus Großbritannien ist der Musikdienst Spotify.com nun auch ohne Einladung nutzbar. Nutzer aus anderen Ländern bedienen sich hierfür eines Proxys: http://defilter.co.uk/
Dort einfach in das Eingabefeld die URL von Spotify setzen, auf Spotify.com den Account-Typ “Free” wählen und seine Daten angeben. Wichtig ist noch eine Postleitzahl aus UK zur Verfügung zu haben. Diese findet man z.B. hier: UK Adress by Postcode (Beispiel: BS155BY).
Nach dem Download und der Installation des Clients, steht ungetrübtem Musikgenuß ohne Invite nichts mehr im Wege. Der Client läuft übrigens auch unter Wine.

For users from Great Britain the music service Spotify.com is now also usable without invitation. Users from other countries avail themselves for this Proxy: http://defilter.co.uk/
There set the URL from Spotify simply into the input field, on Spotify.com select the type of account ” Free” and enter yout data. Still Important is a postal zip code from UK. Find these e.g. here: UK Adress by Postcode (e.g.: BS155BY).

Now download the Client and have fun :D
